White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany pushed back against reports that the administration threw out a pandemic response plan left by the Obama administration, saying the the Trump administration simply replaced it, during a press briefing Friday afternoon.

"What the critics failed to note, however, is that this thin packet of paper was replaced by two detailed, robust pandemic response reports commissioned by the Trump administration."

@EuphoricTurtle indeed, it was dismissed by the incoming Administration, and PCAST, the department responsible for producing the document (and the detailed strategy docs that backed it up, 7 years in the making), was effectively furloughed on Jan 22 2017, before being repurposed in November 2019 to look into “how does America win in the Industries of the Future and how do we prepare the workforce of the future to take advantage of this opportunity?”.
A noble aim, but at the expense of pandemic preparation? It would be funny if it wasn't all so tragic.

1. Listen to what the scientists are saying.
2. Enforce and expand masking laws.
3. Testing and tracing
4. Acknowledge that we have a problem and don't tell people that this thing is going away on its own.
5. Pas and enforce workplace rules to make sure workplaces are Covid free.

on this point joe comes up with a valid plan to rid the american people of this dreadful plague would people like you and others just shoot it down it may escaped your notice joe is president in waiting and until january when joe takes office this is trumps headache why would trump listen to any constructive opinion from joe biden he will not listen to his own scientific experts lets say trump embraces joes idea and it works would trump claim the credit for the idea and personify himself as the great messiah that saved the people of the united states from this great pestilence
