You do know he's not the president right? Only the president can implement a national plan which so far has been non-existant.

But if you're so deperate to know what it is then why don't you just read it?🤷‍♂️

@EuphoricTurtle "read", you say?
JT123 · M
@EuphoricTurtle You don't have to be president to save the world. BTW, I read his plan. Nothing but what we have been doing for 6 months!
jbon85 · 100+, M
@EuphoricTurtle Biden does nothing but lie. Shutting economy down again ain’t gonna help shit. Covid is far less dangerous than media claims it is. Media tells you be scared so you get scared. More people die from the flu every year and nobody scared of flu because media does t tell you be scared. Biden is just Obama 2.0 and he’d do nothing but fuck America over just as Obama

@JT123 You're honestly saying this is what the current administration has been doing?
RESTORING TRUST, CREDIBILITY, AND COMMON PURPOSE

Stop the political theater and willful misinformation that has heightened confusion and discrimination
Biden believes we must immediately put scientists and public health leaders front and center in communication with the American people in order to provide regular guidance and deliver timely public health updates, including by immediately establishing daily, expert-led press briefings
I have one word for you....MASKS!

And that's just first point. 😆
PSuss1 · 51-55, M
@JT123 "disciplined, trustworthy leadership grounded in science" ...exactly like the last 6 months.

Come on, 'fess up, you didn't read it, did you? ... really?
EuphoricTurtle · 41-45, M
@jbon85 Strike ONE.

Would you like to try again?

@EuphoricTurtle doh, there you go again with those pesky facts...
JT123 · M
@EuphoricTurtle The Governors are calling the shots, not Trump. I suggest you send your governor out to make sure everyone is wearing their mask like a good little girl and boy!
EuphoricTurtle · 41-45, M
@PSuss1 I know, reality can be so annoying
EuphoricTurtle · 41-45, M
@JT123 The Governors are calling the shots because?
.....c'mon
....you can do it
...because there is no national plan buddy.
PSuss1 · 51-55, M
@EuphoricTurtle "reality" is not a problem for these guys, trust me
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@EuphoricTurtle What kind of idiot compares one disaster with another to try and convince people it's the same thing ?

I love that about some of you.
Try and justify stupidity by making an illogical historical comparison.
JT123 · M
@EuphoricTurtle Nor does Joe Biden! He talks a good line of BS like his teacher Barack, But like Barack he's all talk and no action! BTW 200,000 died in the USA, 38 million other people died worldwide. I guess they have no plan either 🤔
EuphoricTurtle · 41-45, M
@Picklebobble2 Hey Mr.Pickle how are you? Glad you joined in. If you followed what I was responding to you would have realized I didn't do that.

@jbon85 said
More people die from the flu every year and nobody scared of flu because media does t tell you be scared
and I replied WITH SOURCES (hint, hint)
The Coronavirus Has Killed More Americans Than Any Flu Season Since 1918
The graph shows other things but unfortunately I do not feel comfortable editing reality so I left it there.

The point stands Mr.Pickle.
Any other questions? 😘
EuphoricTurtle · 41-45, M
@JT123 Sadly, you're wrong again (I know, I'm just as surprised as you 😱)

38 million (now 41) is the number of cases worldwide

The death toll is 1,1 million. Which (200k/1,1M) means the US represents 19,9% of all Covid fatalities.

Anything else?
PSuss1 · 51-55, M
@EuphoricTurtle 19.9%? ...damn ...anyone got a plan?
@EuphoricTurtle Why did President BO not appoint Biden head of the H1N1 task force the way trump appointed Pence to head off the China Virus task force ?
EuphoricTurtle · 41-45, M
@PSuss1 One that doesn't involve injecting disinfectant 🙄
@EuphoricTurtle That's fine - that has never been advised. But good point.
EuphoricTurtle · 41-45, M
@MarmeeMarch For the same reason Pence shouldn't have been head of the Covid task force....he wasn't the right person for the job.
@EuphoricTurtle OK Mr. President
PSuss1 · 51-55, M
@MarmeeMarch if only the US had a pandemic response plan ... something like a "Playbook for early response to high-consequence emerging infectious disease threats and biological incidents." ...maybe a 69-page document, published in November 2016 ...if only, eh?
@PSuss1 So we did have one ? - well I guess it's didn't work.
EuphoricTurtle · 41-45, M
@MarmeeMarch You know why? because they didn't use it
White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany pushed back against reports that the administration threw out a pandemic response plan left by the Obama administration, saying the the Trump administration simply replaced it, during a press briefing Friday afternoon.

"Some have erroneously suggested that the Trump administration threw out the pandemic response playbook left by the Obama-Biden administration," McEnany said, holding up a packet of papers. "What the critics failed to note, however, is that this thin packet of paper was replaced by two detailed, robust pandemic response reports commissioned by the Trump administration."
So saying it didn't work is like getting a flat tire, keep driving, fuck up your car and when asked about the spare tire just saying..."So we did have one ? - well I guess it's didn't work." 🤭
PSuss1 · 51-55, M
@EuphoricTurtle indeed, it was dismissed by the incoming Administration, and PCAST, the department responsible for producing the document (and the detailed strategy docs that backed it up, 7 years in the making), was effectively furloughed on Jan 22 2017, before being repurposed in November 2019 to look into “how does America win in the Industries of the Future and how do we prepare the workforce of the future to take advantage of this opportunity?”.

A noble aim, but at the expense of pandemic preparation? It would be funny if it wasn't all so tragic.
