Has he clarified his statement? I don't have Twitter, but it seems he could reject them loudly to his millions of followers.

@SpiritualMan My point was that I believe that it was an unfair question for 2 reasons one of them - why was he asked that question and not Biden and number two - how come he was not asked to denounce any Black Supremacist groups. I feel that he was painted into a wall and he did what they wanted. So maybe he did not want to answer that question. Doesn't mean he condones them either.
