Has he clarified his statement? I don't have Twitter, but it seems he could reject them loudly to his millions of followers.

That is a shame when the President has to condemn a group of people that have the perfect right to be.....He lost points with me there. I am not a supporter of these mentals - but sadly these retarded groups should not be condemned by the President nor Condoned. What a shame - what a schill.

@MarmeeMarch I think though, that when these groups openly and loudly express their support for trump, do things in his name, then he's obligated to express his disdain, of indeed he has it.
Doing so in a coherent way, when asked, would be the thing to do.
And you know that he lied when he said he didnt know about the proud boys. As he did when asked about David Duke. Why do you think he would do that? What would be his motivation?

@Carla Proud Boys are not a white supremacist group and he is bound by the 1st Amendment not to speak if he does not want to. I do not know exactly what you mean by "doing things in his name" that sounds like a cover all statement that puts Trump on the spot. Why should he chase his tail every time some weird group does this and that and holds up a Trump sign ? Trump has to run this nation and does not have time to denounce the many hate groups that support him.
In fact the more you acknowledge these people the more they will do -whatever - just to get in the news.. Also one does not claim innocence loudly, it make them look like a complete child. No respectful man would denounce anything if he does not want to - It was unfair that; that NAZI Chris (friend of Epstein) Wallace asked him that question and not Biden.
