Unlike other shootings why is Kyle Rittenhouse being blamed and not the gun?

I'm still struggling with the crap his lawyers spouted about the unconstitutionality of a 17 year old taking the gun across state lines to hunt human beings.

But once I get over that, I'm good with gun rights. Maybe we should put the things in reserves where they're safe from mankind?

His primary attorney, on Tucker Carlson claimed that he obtained the weapon in the state of Wisconsin, and did not transport it across state lines. He also said that a business owner, whose business was damaged, asked the murderer and others to protect it.

He did not say where the gun came from. He also lied about the legality of a 17 year old openly carrying an AR-15.

He did not explain why the murderer was at a gad station, mixing it with the protesters, and not at the business he claimed was getting the protection.

So, there is a fresh target for the multitude of lawsuits that will be descending on the business owner, who armed and asked a teenager to protect his business, leading to the murder of two people and injury of one.
@Northwest wow. I assumed he was talking about the unconstitutional prohibition when he said it was legal since he threw in the 2nd amendment stuff.

That's a heck of a case for the lawyer just for the kid, and whatever store owner decided to employ him really ought to run up one hell of a bill.

@MistyCee Yeah, he was quoting the 2nd amendment like a champ, that's all he can do, but the Federal Stature does not allow someone under 18 and under certain circumstances under 21, to open carry. In this case, I believe the 21 year rule applies, due to the type of gun. This law has been on the books for quite some time. States can create tougher laws, for they can't lower the age requirement.

This guy is full of shit. I can see several types of lawsuits:

1. Against the city: the police did not arrest the child killer and instead gave him supplies.
2. The State: the same.
3. The Sheriff's department: the same.
4. The people who gave him the weapon/ammo.
5. The business owner who enabled him.
6. His mother: she drove him to Kenosha and back

And that's just for starters.

No, a 17 year with an AR at a riot and the sheer absurdity of that is very much a topic of conversation.
@QuixoticSoul seems a tad - askew
Not the ppl who’s job it is to restore order. Forcing citizens out to defend property..

They get a free ride?

Guns and other weapons are tools which need to be handled properly.
