Yeah...i've long since come to the realization that Shapiro is a slick talker but his stances are ideological more than logical.

@luckranger71 Carlson I give a break because now and then he takes up the paleocon narrative and is right on a select few things, but for the most part, he is a complete fraud.

@MagnifiqueGirl Ok so Shapiro in that tweet is claiming that renewable energy is impossible because the first law of thermodynamics is called Law of Conservation of Energy and states that energy cannot be created or destroyed, only changed from one form to another. This is true in what's called a closed system. The entire universe is a closed system because there's no way to add new energy to the universe. The Earth, however, is not a closed system because energy can be added to the Earth, or leave the Earth. The sun adds energy to the Earth every second of every day. Shapiro didn't know the concept of closed and open systems. He just used the Law of Conservation of Energy to try to make a cheap point and it backfired so spectacularly that even with his colossal ego, he had to admit he was wrong.
