Dead cat able to register to vote in Atlanta

you can't make this stuff up.
SW-User
The cat received an application to register for mail-in voting.

To actually register to vote... you need a drivers license or social security number.

I buy stuff online in my dog's name so we can tell who is selling our information. Would he get an application to register... probably? Could he register... no.

@Beautifullyderanged I'm not sure. My wife's employer's HR was hacked. So they purchased a service for her and family.

I get alerts if my phone number, email address, credit card numbers, or SSN are found on the internet.

@SW-User cool, will look to see if there is something similar over here.

@Beautifullyderanged
what is concerning it makes you worry about who/what else is on the list and who would fraudulently fill it in, with fake drivers licence etc.
It's not that concerning. A fake drivers license would not pass muster. They check the number.

Appears as if you can. You just did.

There's a thing called data mining. Sometime, I order stuff and have it shipped to my cat or dog. Amazon, Facebook, Google and others collect that data, and cannot tell if this is a person or a pet.

As a consequence, both my cat and dog, receive their own junk mail.

State agencies buy that data, like everyone else, and in some places, they are sending reminders for people that they should register to vote.

Rest assured, the dead cat was NOT able to register to vote.
Dead cat votes matter, you are being speciesist and deadist. :p

@FairyGirlGemma you're right, I apologise to all animals, alive or dead for my terrible behaviour, I hope they will forgive me lol

WTF. I seriously doubt our voting process

Dead cat strategy.
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
You can make that up. The cat doesnt have a national/state ID so still couldn't actually submit a ballot.
Registering is not actually voting.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Starcrossed The cat can't register - because to do that you need a state or national ID. In many states you can vote without an ID as long as you have your ballot, but to register you need to prove eligibility.

@QuixoticSoul I knew I worded something wrong ty

Reminds me of the simpsons episode, sideshow bob roberts. There is a small reference to exactly this.
