An unofficial title for our POTUS used to be “Leader of the free world”.

My favorite cover of one of the foreign magazines read, ”The Leader of The Free World Meets Donald Trump”.
It captioned a photo of the meeting between Trump and Angela Merkel.

Angela Merkel is the first leader who comes to mind as leader of the free world. Trump is the leader of those who would destroy the free world and replace it with the authoritarian governments that he loves so much, like Russia, China, and North Korea.

There is no such thing and there never was really.

Honestly, I'm drawing a blank. I don't think there's a such thing as a free country, let alone a free world. People that get all sentimental about freedom live in blissful ignorance of just how rigged the game is.
