I think not.

I think first and foremost he is a narcissist.
And then a businessman.
And then a politician.
And then a republican.

I don't think he particularly cares what gives him power and attention as long as he gets it.

No he is not a Republican he even admitted as much a few years ago saying if he would run he would run as a Republican because they would be easy to manipulate

Well that's actually not true. I looked it up.
But i agree that he only ran as a Republican because they were the ones that would allow him to succeed.
