The United States would do well to build the economy of Mexico and economically invade. That would end the border problem.

@Muthafukajones Build the Mexican economy and economically invade? So, like, make Mexico's economy stronger but then try to destroy it again? Or am I misunderstanding?
MarineBob · 56-60, M
@Muthafukajones
so would this
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@MarineBob Tbh, no it wouldn't. A lot of the people who would be reading that sign are people running away from cartel members, who would already shoot them repeatedly. I say this from the experience of being a war refugee, the knowledge that I'd be shot and killed wouldn't deter me at all because that's no worse than being shot and killed from where I came from. Or bombed. Or raped and disemboweled, or hanged, or burned alive by fuel-air munitions, or incinerated by white phosphorous, or dying if starvation, dehydration, or cholera...

@BlueMetalChick The reason why Mexicans want to come to the US is because of ease of proximity and opportunity. If you build their economy the opportunity vs the risk will seem less attractive. By building their economy with US infrastructure you can economically invade without having any responsibility to the people. These are the core issues of the border problem.

@MarineBob Wow. Tough. 🙄
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Muthafukajones So, essentially, we should encourage Mexican people to stay in Mexico by helping to make Mexico a better place to live, thus making it a lot more attractive of an option to live in Mexico as opposed to moving elsewhere?

Yeah that sounds like something I would support, especially since we've fucked with them so much over the years. I think we should do the same to some of the Middle Eastern countries we've wreaked havoc on. A lot of those people wouldn't be leaving home to go to other countries if we'd stop bombing them.
Muthafukajones · 46-50, M
I didn’t mean do it for charity. It makes practical sense for the American economy to build up Mexico.@BlueMetalChick
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Muthafukajones It usually makes practical sense for America not to fuck up other countries, or to un-fuck them up in the present, yes.
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
@Muthafukajones because that's worked out so well for Russia in the past... 🤔
Muthafukajones · 46-50, M
Russian mentality is different than American. It could work quite well. @wildbill83
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
@Muthafukajones We've tried "building them up" for the past 30+ years (as we've done in many parts of the world). The only places it's really worked is in Europe, Israel, Japan, and South Korea; Mexico is just full of too much corruption and incompetence to ever be on equal terms with us.
