No crying here, at least yet. McConnell said he'd fix it and he's doing it well, with Fox not even letting loyal Trumpists hear the arguments.

I expect more of the same to come, with the Trump administration free to use whatever powers it chooses to ensure it continues.

When the war is over, there may be tears over all that has been lost, but for now, this battle is lost and it's time to move on to the next one.

I'm curious as to what Trump will say at the State of the Union now. With the actual vote put off until Wednesday, he's got some reason to behave a bit, but it's going to be hard for him to both resist gloating AND attacking his enemies.

Believe it or not, I hope he does stay on script and start trying to pretend he's everyone's President.

It's the smart move for him, but it's also the smart move for the country as a whole, even though I'm sure there are some Democrats hoping he'll rant and rave.
