It wasn't expected that the Senate Trump sycophants would conduct a fair trial. And they didn't. It will cost them the Senate this November, and ensures Trump will lose as well.

@windinhishair Conservatives won't see it that way. They're like fans who celebrate winning the big game by burning down their town.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Graylight That's OK. They are in the minority and will always be in the minority. In 100 years, people will wonder how the inmates took over the village and voted Trump into office.

@windinhishair just like fairness was used in the House of Representatives. Impeachment articles were rushed through, Trump's Defense had no say, then you expect the Senate to do what should have been done in the House!
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@lou502008 Republicans were present in every single hearing and interview in the House. Trump was given a chance to participate, but declined to provide a single witness or even a single document or piece of paper. So you can't complain that Trump had no opportunity. He did. And he knew that the Senate would give him a free pass to commit any crime, for any reason, at any time moving forward. He no longer has to pretend to obey the law, and can cheat, lie, and steal with impunity. MAGA.

@windinhishair Bullshit
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 We know you love to eat it. MAGA.

@sunsporter1649 Another of your self-portraits.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@windinhishair Show me the cross-examination testimony from any of the 18 "witnesses".
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 I guess you didn't bother to watch any of the testimony--too busy watching Fox and Rubes for your talking points and going to KKK meetings.

Here are four hours and 26 minutes of former US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovich. You can watch over two hours of Republicans asking questions during her testimony, since the questioning alternated between House Democrats and Republicans. Unfortunately it doesn't support your talking points. Similar videos exist for the other of what you call "witnesses" (sic).

@windinhishair And her testimony boiled down to "I got fired because I would not do what the President hired me to do". Duh, what did she think would happen?
Next..
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 Yes, she got fired because Trump and Giuliani knew she would not support Trump's corrupt attempt to extort Ukraine. Duh, what did you think would happen?

You can go to C-span and watch any of the "witnesses" that you would like to. That should keep you busy and away from Gullibles Island reruns.

@windinhishair Just what is corrupt about following an international law between the US and the Ukraine to investigate the corrupt hunter biden?
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 Withholding aid solely for Trump's personal benefit is illegal. Giuliani knows that and had to take out the Ambassador to make the extortion possible.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@windinhishair Bullshit. And we both know Ukraine got their aid within the proscribed time. Whoops, forgot, lining the pockets of corrupt foreign governments is American policy, witness the plane load of cash dumped on that airport ramp. Forgot all about that, I apologize.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@sunsporter1649 Continuing the same line of BS expecting the truth to change is the definition of insanity. Or stupidity, I can't remember which.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 If you rob a bank and give the money back, it doesn't prove your innocence. Trump withheld aid and in doing so committed a crime, according to the GAO. And even though the bulk of the testimony was successfully stonewalled by Trump in a flailing and desperate attempt to prevent the truth from coming out, a few brave souls did testify truthfully, and we know about the president's extortion of Ukraine. Republican Senators even admit it, but refuse to remove the king.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@windinhishair Ah, did not realize withholding money from hunter biden was a crime, sorry about that
