@Vegasfor30 Trump never does anything for anyone other than himself. He's using the government to enrich himself by having the military stay at his resort in Scotland, paying for his weekly golf outings at his resorts, and having other countries pay for rooms that they don't even use. He lies about anything and everything, cannot be trusted in any way, and sold out our allies, the Kurds, resulting in a number of deaths. Our former allies do not trust us, and his decisions have benefited Russia, who obviously has something on him that he is petrified will come out. He has doubled the deficit in his first two years, and we are heading into recession due to his bungling of his unnecessary trade wars. His moral bankruptcy is legendary--separating children from their families and caging them, almost entirely eliminating refugees from entering the US, trying to ban Muslims from entry, etc. He is, without doubt, the worst of our 45 presidents, and the distance between him and the 44th increases by the day.

Yes, we need to bring our troops home, but not in a way that dishonors the sacrifice others made because of a random knee-jerk decision without input from the generals or our allies. Since Trump lies about anything, you have to assume the NPS never received that money unless it is verified by an independent third party. And even if he did, stealing millions from federal coffers and giving a small amount back enriches him. I’m sure you saw yesterday he was fined $2 million for abusing his Foundation and stealing donor money. It is what he does.

Now while I wouldnt want to think you might deliberately imply otherwise, I find it interesting that The Trump public statement implied that those funds actually WENT to the veterans , when they did not. In a judgement of Solomon the judge saw to it that the entire penalty was dispensed to the Veterans charities who should have got the money in the first place. If I have a complaint it is that maybe he could have pushed for more.
