With everyone criticising Trump, who then would you choose/be best to replace him?

Non American. Just curious. Probably going to regret asking 🤷‍♀️

@Pfuzylogic And Nixon was crooked. Bush 41 was intelligent and well prepared for the office. Bob Dole was nominated in 1996 and was competent, but he changed his moral positions during the campaign to try to be something he was not. It didn't work.

@windinhishair Bush 41 picked Quayle another Hoosier VP. How do these Hoosiers sneak in? 😂
At least Nixon respected the constitution that whatshisname.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Pfuzylogic Nixon picked Agnew as VP. Agnew was taking bribery payments in the White House, similar to Trump now.

Ah yes, Quayle, the man who couldn't spell the word "potato". He was Eric Trump before Eric was in the news.

I just wish someone who isn't a lying crook would show up and run, (NOT a LAWYER!!!!), with a solid business background and a deep respect for our country, our traditions, and the safety of our people.
Shapeshifter · 36-40, M
@Pikachu why? She has absolutely no political experience. No record of running government
@Shapeshifter

She's got the right kind of personality, the right attitude towards society, she's actually a smart person and she seems to actually care.
Her husband was president for 8 years and in politics before that. I think that's a sufficient source of advice,

@Shapeshifter SHE has no political experience? Wow. Neither did Trump! Um,
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
I think the office of the President itself is a rigged game where we're all the losers, but of the current crop I'd take Sanders. I'll at least be disappointed rather than horrified.
@CountScrofula He was my initial choice, but after his recent heart attack I’d worry about losing him midterm.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@bijouxbroussard Yeah that's reasonable. I'd take Warren as a second choice pretty readily although she's a little more prone to compromise.

The line of succession in the US would dictate that VP Pence would become President upon Trump's removal from office. Pence would then appoint another VP to take his place. Should both Trump and Pence be removed (say if both are involved in the same impeachable offenses), then Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi would become President.

Resurrect George Carlin 👍🏻
@Cuda6868 If only.
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
It’s doubtful anyone will take this seriously.

The only adult that’s running who has actual executive experience is quietly ridiculed for being too polite.

Isn’t that lovely? Even the folks left of center aren’t interested in electing an adult for President.

And somehow, people are surprised at the morons running the country.
gregloa · 61-69, M
Everyone else is too wimpy
HausOfLuna · F
@DudeistPriest some would argue they're already there! 🤭
I’d love for Pelosi to become POTUS, but I’ve no doubt that the same misogynists who targeted Hillary would go after her.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@bijouxbroussard It would be a good move. She's far more capable than what we have now.
User41 · 36-40, M

@User41 you have what it takes?
User41 · 36-40, M
@HausOfLuna
Yes definitely!
