In your opinion why are there so many homeless people in LA and San Francisco ?

In Alameda County, the number of homeless residents jumped 43 percent over the past two years. In Orange County, that number was 42 percent. Kern County volunteers surveying the region’s homeless population found a 50 percent increase over 2018. San Francisco notched a 17 percent increase since 2017.

And on Tuesday, Los Angeles officials released the results of their most recent count: Homelessness was up by 12 percent over last year in the county and up 16 percent in the City of Los Angeles.

That puts L.A. County’s homeless population at 58,936 and the city’s at 36,300.

First, the warm weather makes California perfect if you wish to live in a tent.

The homeless population is increasing because radical progressives in government in California, (like the Governor and the Mayors of these respective cities, and their city boards), have forbidden the police to move the homeless encampments without 48 hours notice. This makes their sidewalk encampments extremely difficult to remove, because the residents simply move to another spot, and then they can't be identified easily.

The Homeless have civil activist lawyers working pro bono, and if one of the homeless is forcibly evicted, the lawyers step in and sue. It is these activist lawyers who are really the huge problem.

Another enormous problem is Anti-Fa, who issue death threats to the citizens who try to stop the homeless from camping in front of their homes and businesses. Anti-Fa threatened citizens recently in El Dorado, a suburb of San Francisco.

Additionally, these cities have set up safe sites for the homeless drug abusers to go and get free needles and a safe place to inject themselves.

It's like putting out cheese and then wondering why you have rats. Oh...did I mention the rats?

If you can imagine raw sewage from 60,000 people flowing into the LA basin, untreated, and flowing directly out to sea, the environmentalists there should be screaming to high heaven...but they are conveniently silent, because saying something might not be politically correct. The raw sewage continues to flow directly into the ocean, contaminating beaches for five miles north and five miles south of the LA basin outlet.
@4meAndyou I definitely heard you say rats, and I also heard a lot of excrement.

Good morning.

@4meAndyou SF has safe needle exchange but not injection sites. That bill was vetoed.
