What happened to America First?

Now the government is sending troops over to Saudi Arabia to defend their precious oil fields that were attacked by the country that Saudi Arabia’s been attacking for years now.

Autumn - YOU should be in charge of national security!
You could hand over 'the keys' to Iran in person!
Wouldn't that be special?
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@SW-User It amuses me to hear you defending thoseraghead terrorist yemanies. Makes one wonder why you support them
SW-User
@sunsporter1649 The real terrorist here is the Saudi Government. The same country that did 9/11 that you support. All Yemen did was oust a Sunni President backed by Saudi Arabia and they get attacked by the Saudi’s in return. Yemen isn’t a threat to the U.S.

@SW-User And the USS Cole was done by somebody else, eh?

@RippinKlouds Exactly
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@RippinKlouds Because they cant fight worth for shit, weapons or no weapons, and Iran would absolutely clobber them.
Free weapons and the US army guarding your oil....it is almost like they planned it.
Carla · 61-69, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow they can't get through their heads that Saudi Arabia is in as deep with terrorists organizations as Iran. Maybe more so.
But...$$$

@sunsporter1649 sometimes they are just another enemy.

Oil first 🤷‍♂️
PTCdresser57 · 61-69, M
I think it is hilarious that the US exports oil and also imports it. For a net total of 2.23 million barrels a day. Only 9% of oil actually comes from Saudi Arabia.

Didn't you hear? They forgot a word...it's supposed to say WEALTHY America First
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@FlowersInHerHair I am sure barry big ears is relieved to hear that!

Fighting for oil has always been part of 'keeping America First". The US relies on Saudi oil, and has always protected it. I'm not saying it's right, but that's just how it is.
I thought I posted on this the other day-but the U.S. has had troops in Saudi Arabia for years.
SW-User
@soar2newhighs That’s still bad. I mean, why would the U.S. continue to support a country who’s responsible for 9/11, who also supports terrorism that the U.S. is still fighting?
I guess the same or similar reason why when the 9/11 report came out, many pages regarding the Saudi involvement were redacted. Money, oil, geopolitical sway has much to do with nations who go to bed with each other. And to this day I do not see where the country of Saudi Arabia, or Egypt, Lebanon or the UAE have formally by the United States, nor the U.N., been held responsible, though it's said a number of those aboard the aircraft that crashed into the towers, was brought down over Shanksville and hit the Pentagon were Saudis. But there were non Saudis...Mohammad Atta, Egyptian, and others from the UAE and Lebanon.@SW-User
Oh, I forgot...there are insurgent groups, factions such as Al Queda, ISIS who would enjoy overtaking Saudi Arabia, and as you know there's a proxy war going on between the Saudis and Iran, with Yemen caught in the middle. Iran backs the Houthis, and the Saudis with the massive amount of arms our past and current Administrations have given them in arms deals, use that against their adversaries, currently the Houthis. Hey, and don't forget, the past Administration also backed Islamic radicals, aka "moderate" (no such animal exists in a jihad)rebels fighting Assad and his regime. It's definitely not black & white or clear cut.@SW-User

Your proposal is?
SW-User
@sunsporter1649 You can thank the current and former Presidents if that ever happens. They’ve supplied weapons to Saudi Arabia (the country that attacked the U.S. on 9/11) and kept terrorism alive.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@SW-User So we should abandon the Saudis and support the Iranians?
SW-User
@sunsporter1649 That issue is up to the Saudis and the Iranians to handle not the U.S.
If the U.S. does not, or fails, you ever thought who might just fill that vacuum? Very real possibility, to assure its survival, that dark horse would be Israel. In the real world despite Dems/Repubs, money and oil talks and Bullshit walks. It's about a nation's survival, be it Saudi Arabia or Israel.
