Why do u think Donald Trump appeals to racist people so ?

And yes this post is also for all of the Uncle Toms out there, too. What do you think makes Trump appealing to racist people. Is it the invasion of colored people. The floor is yours. 🙂

In my opinion Donald Trump appeals to racist people because they see him as a strong masculine white male figure that loves America. Some white people feel like they're under attack and they believe Trump is going to save them. But I think Trump is just a business man that happens to be president. Business is good. He's always in the news good or bad. He has not only America's interest but the entire world.

@TheunderdogofNY Good assessment. But where the disconnect comes for me is that they see him as "strong." He's not. He's weak. He whines, moans, lies and degrades. Those aren't the qualities of a strong man. Let alone a strong leader.

@Ynotisay Exactly.

Call someone a racist, twisting words to say they're a racist, comparing them to others who are racist doesn't make someone a racist. Racist has become a political weapon to beat people with.

I remember as a youngster seeing on TV when "segregationists, tried to stop children from attending schools, when politicians spoke of racism as if it was a good thing.

I also remember growing up with the community teaching the young to judge people by the character. We used to have much more problems with racism than we do today.

It doesn't help when politicians, media, and individuals imply that those who support "the opposition" are racist or any of a dozen other nasty things simply because their political philosophy doesn't agree with yours.

@Zonuss If you've never seen stupid chants at a campaign rally, but all candidates, you're not paying very good attention.

And there have been a number of shooters who were left wing wackos as well. Do you blame Obama for them, or any of the current candidates?

I can understand not liking the politics or personality of any politician, but the vicious hatred I don't understand. But then I'm old-fashioned and believe in live and let live.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@sunrisehawk I blame the culture. I blame the media. And I do blame the shooter. But in Trumps case he was blatantly and openly attacking other ethnic groups here in the US. So as a result it was his own words that has inflamed the racial tensions in this country in a very profound way. The hate crimes have gone way up since his inception. And the cops have been getting all sorts of reports of church burnings and houses going up in flames. So yeah Im gonna blame Trump for this one. Sorry, Im just being real here. And if it were Obama would made real racist statements out in the open like this I would be blaming him too.

@Zonuss Re writing history, i.e. Reagan, won't make it so.

your vibe attracts your tribe, I suppose. When all you have is hatred and fear, then all you have is hatred and fear. Personally I would rather have an empty and lonely life than have one full of hate. And, I'm not at all lonely or empty.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@WalksWith So true.
daisymay · 51-55, T
Bigots of a feather shit on everyone else.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@daisymay But why though.
daisymay · 51-55, T
@Zonuss They get that good feeling that comes when you're with a group of like-minded individuals. Trump speaks their language.
Carla · 61-69, F
He speaks the language.
The one word... supremacy, is what explains it.

[c=#BF0000]His intentional racist rhetoric 🤷‍♀️ it's targeted at the rednecks and racists to get more support. He simply tells em wut they wanna hear [/c]

Going back to his time as a real estate mogul redlining minority applications in the early 70’s, bigotry is like his ground wire. It’s his default setting, and he attracts people who are similarly wired.
[c=#359E00] because he is racist. People with same idea get along together[/c]

It's nothing more than an opportunity to hate 'the other.' There's always going to be fearful, insecure people needing to blame others. Trump encourages that. The FASCINATING thing to me is that those people are blaming the wrong folks for their problems.
Example. The richest 1/5 of Americans received more than 2/3 of the benefits from Trump's tax cut. In 2027 the upper 1% will receive 83% of the total benefits. Whatever very nominal gain the middle and lower class made has been eaten up via the current tariffs.
But they'd rather 'blame the browns.' And that's because there's a lot of people in this nation who'd rather hate than think.

The views and people have always been there, he's given them confidence to be more public.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@SW-User And now it is backfiring. 🙂
Strictgram · 70-79, C
So if a black is conservative he's an Uncle Tom? Who is the real racist here?
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Strictgram You. 🤭
Strictgram · 70-79, C
@Zonuss Brilliant!
Race baiting question is race baiting.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Callmewhatyouwill No. Just answer the question like a normal person would. 🙂
@Zonuss ok. He appeals to the same number of racists as any other president in history.
I think Trump seems most "genuine" when he's addressing race and ethnicity, tbh.
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
They see themselves, as they'd love to be!!
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
Your a racist so why are you attracted to Trump?
