Do u believe Donald Trump is to blame for the recent shootings in the US ? 🤔

As it stands today. It appears that Trump has emboldened these White Nationalists to commit these acts of terror. The recent events in our world today says everything. You saw the shootings in Texas and Ohio. White Nationalism, or nationalism from any ethnic group or race is the problem here. If we do not call it for what it is this tragedy will never end. Something needs to be done. But these racist comments from Trump must end. What do you think. 😐

Read about the rise of Hitler to power in Germany and note the similarities.

@Khenpal1 You have no sense of history at all. Maybe you need some history lessons.

@hippyjoe1955 Most Americans did NOT vote for the Orange Abomination. He lost the popular vote and won the presidency only because of the Electoral College, an archaic institution that was included in your constitution to placate slave owners. And it’s the racists who support Trump now.

@Khenpal1 How many of your presidents win the popular vote? Here is a clue. Our present PM only got 37% of the vote. The PM before him had 38%. Trump like the Canadian PMs won the election by the rules in place. Don't like the rules? Work on changing them. Don't think that the president is not legitimate because he didn't win the popular vote.
@hippyjoe1955 Seems to me like that the least of the reasons to question Trump's legitimacy. Just sayin'

@hippyjoe1955 So was Hitler. So it's worth remembering that Hitler was actually an incompetent, lazy egomaniac and his government was an absolute clown show.
In fact, this may even have helped his rise to power, as he was consistently underestimated by the German elite. Before he became chancellor, many of his opponents had dismissed him as a joke for his crude speeches and tacky rallies. Even after elections had made the Nazis the largest party in the Reichstag, people still kept thinking that Hitler was an easy mark, a blustering idiot who could easily be controlled by smart people.

@Khenpal1 So because Hitler was elected we should ban elections? Stalin was re-elected with massive majorities does that mean he should or shouldn't have been the head of the USSR?

@hippyjoe1955 If you reelect Idiots , seeing they are idiots. We tend to assume that when something awful happens there must have been some great controlling intelligence behind it. It's understandable: how could things have gone so wrong, we think, if there wasn't an evil genius pulling the strings? The downside of this is that we tend to assume that if we can't immediately spot an evil genius, then we can all chill out a bit because everything will be fine.

But history suggests that's a mistake, and it's one that we make over and over again. Many of the worst man-made events that ever occurred were not the product of evil geniuses. Instead they were the product of a parade of idiots and lunatics, incoherently flailing their way through events, helped along the way by overconfident people who thought they could control them.

@Khenpal1 The only mistake on this thread is the one where you compared the election of Trump to the election of Hitler. Question for you. Where were Trump's brown shirts during the last election? Did Trump endorse a Kristallnacht? Son you need some fresh air. Your thinking is screwed up severely.

@Khenpal1 Yes. This blatant Populist movement is only excused because it fits the narrative of White America. Only the logical ones will deny this ideology of Trump. 🙂
