Wouldn't this also apply to conservatives? You labeled the few who did not agree with your last post, "libtards"
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@SW-User I think the expression libtards came as a response to the liberal default 'racist' taunt that was used against McCain/Palin and Romney/Ryan.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User It's yet another sign that people have no idea what labels mean. Right wingers think anything they dislike is "liberal" or "leftist" and y'know a lot of lefties do the same thing, they call any idea they don't like "right wing" or "conservative". People don't know their labels. In fact, a lot of self-described paleocons are actually pretty liberal but don't know it because they think liberalism is that stupid shit you see on Tumblr like believing in 78 different genders and wanting to make "tucute" a reality.
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@BlueMetalChick Leftist want to make everything about race, identity politics. Just because I support a border wall, or to fix our immigration laws doesn't make me a racist. I didn't vote for Obama because he's black, but because of his policies.
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@SW-User No!

They'd just shoot you.

@GunSmoke9 Really? Because I'm a leftist and all I get from my political opponents are race and identity politics. I say we should not give billions of dollars to Israel because it's unconstitutional and I get told I'm an anti-Semite. I say stop supporting Saudi because they're waging a genocide, I get called an Islamaphobe. I say I hate Ben Shapiro, I get called a Jew-hater. I say don't invade Syria, I get called a terrorist sympathizer. I say we should not have anti-BDS laws and I get called a Palestine-lover. It's always an identity insult I get in response.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@GunSmoke9 I love how conservatives think they aren’t engaged in identity politics, even as they proclaim the war on Christmas and solidly get behind the “Mexicans are rapists” platform 🤔
TageWestin · 56-60, M
@GunSmoke9 You say:
I didn't vote for Obama because he's black, but because of his policies.
Do you realize you're saying (or at the very least insinuating) that you did vote for Obama because of his politics? Did you? I have no idea why y'all keep on arguing with each other so intensely. I mean both liberals and conservatives. So I really can't tell for sure where you're coming from. So if it's a joke to insinuate it, I say it's a bit confusing.🤔
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@TageWestin Lmao dude just made a grammatical mistake and forgot to put in the double negative. It happens.
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@TageWestin I'll put it another way. Obama's race was not the reason I didn't vote for him. His policies are the reason I didn't vote for him.
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@QuixoticSoul Nobody plays identity politics more than democrats. Everyone has to be labeled and put in certain boxes.
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@BlueMetalChick Yes really. It's wrong when people label us based on our beliefs. I was mainly speaking of the democrat party, and their partners in the media. Just listen to them and see how many times race comes into play.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@GunSmoke9 Here's the main reason why democratic politicians do that: they're establishment. No matter what a person's party is, if they're establishment, they're going to use everything they can as a deflection from issues that threaten their money.

Here, I have a good example. You know who Tulsi Gabbard is, right?

@BlueMetalChick You're actually expecting some of these people to read a book. 😏

@BlueMetalChick They do it to control and divide people. Republicans are establishment, but don't play that game. Republicans don't run on their race or gender the way democrats do.
Yes, I know who she is.

@GunSmoke9 Republicans play that game too. When anyone criticizes Israel for their violations of international law and human rights abused, republicans cry anti-Semitism. When anyone condemns Saudi Arabia for waving a genocide in Yemen, republicans scream Islamaphobia.

I bring up Gabbard because she's the perfect example of hypocritical establishment democrats. The corporate democrats claim that diversity is their top virtue. They say always vote for the woman, always vote for the racial minority, always vote for the religious minority, always vote for the young candidate. People like Nancy Pelosi or Tom Perez always say vote for identity over policy.

Tulsi Gabbard meets all those criteria. She's young, she's female, she's ethnically Hawaiian and thus a racial minority, and she's a Hindu which makes her a religious minority. The only "diversity" group she isn't part of it LGBT. And yet the establishment democrats haaaaaaate her, they do nothing but scream that she's a dictator-lovjng terrorist sympathizer that is secretly working for Bashar al Assad. All that diversity-loving disappears as soon as they encounter a candidate that threatens their money. Gabbard is an anti-sstablishmebt candidate who wants to take on the war machine and military industrial complex. Pelosi and Perez and all those third rate asswipes loathe people like her.

@AgapeLove Oh and I even forgot, she's ex military too. What happened to all that grandstanding about how we need to support the troops and you can never ever badmouth a person that's served in the armed forces?
