What do you think warrants a presidential pardon?

I think that is up to each President. It is a special power granted to him, and I am sure each man or woman who becomes President will have their reasons for granting pardons individual to themselves, but mostly addressing what they perceive as injustice.

Should be done as little as possible and for exceptional cases. All presidents are given pardoning abilities. Typically they use it sparingly and not for their own benefit or to bribe or to pardon people whom they conspired with to commit crimes.

I can't really think of a good reason to have it..?
