Of course not.
It's good for business !
Any idea on the Dept of Defense budget ????
Good for weapon manufacturers, keeps folk in the southern states employed either putting vehicles or weaponry or other military hard wear together. Or actually signing up to replace those lost or resigning from the army !
Any time there's no operations you have to justify such a budget and manpower !!

Yes and no. I think the US wouldn't mind seeing ISIS in specific go, but rebel organizations are a common geopolitical tool for big countries. Russia uses them too, and even though Putin is backing Assad, he still benefits from ISIS's existence. From a political viewpoint, they're very convenient as long as you aren't in the immediate area.

Yes but they can never totally destroy it. It will remain in the dark underworld spreading it's hateful ideology. Remember the taliban or Al qaeda? Almost finished but still lurking around in the corners. That's how it will be..

Terrorist groups have a habit of being replaced by new and even more ruthless groups filling the power vacuum once they have been sufficiently weakened and damaged by counterterrorism operations. Daesh makes al Qaeda look like a bunch of old hippies by comparison, and I have no doubt there are groups waiting in the future who will make Daesh seem cute and fuzzy in its turn.
As long as the sentiment is there, and there are an infinity of angry teenage boys to mislead into thinking this is the way to be a hero, it will never end.

I see American attitude ambiguous to say the least. To me it is quite clear that until Assad falls ISIS is useful and will not be too much harassed.

No Isis works for us. The US led to the creation of Isis and now we are training and funding them. We supply them with ammunition and other resources. As a matter of fact the US dropped 30 - 50000 tons of ammunition and weaponry just last year to supply them. This past Saturday the US bombed a Syrian Army position killing 62 Syrian troops so the Isis couldn advance. Just remember folks we go to war in the name of "GOD". Gold, Oil, and Drugs.

These are serious, but credible, accusations. The 'accidental' bombing last weekend was quite blatant.

@Cierzo: It's a shame that in this modern-day of information ignorance is a choice. People just accept what they're told and never question anything. They must not want their illusion of reality destroyed.

Yes and no, for now they still need them to achieve some "things", like remove Assad and decrease Russian influences in that region, for example.

I see the same priorities. Remove Al-Assad is first.

Trump does, Obama and Hillary don't!

No. The US has it's economy based around war and goes and creates war to keep it going.

Yes, but there's really no good move.
