So the "Bern" admitted publicly that "free" health care for everyone is not really free. (Question below).

He plans to jack everyone's taxes...everyone...to pay for it. You won't be able to get healthcare at little or no cost through your employer anymore. You will be forced to take the so-called "free" "Medicare for All". No choice for you. And it will cost about double (or triple out of your net paycheck) compared to what Medicare costs now, because so many more people will have to be covered.

So my question is for all the people struggling to pay off enormous college loans. You lose the little to no cost employee heatlh care at work, you are still paying off your college loans, but your net paycheck is going to go DOWN, because your taxes are going to go way up.

So...if the "Bern" does what he wants to do and forces us into Medicare for all, how are you going to be able to pay your college loans and the new healthcare cost and still afford to eat?

And for seniors and others receiving specialized health treatments such as cancer treatments now on their private health insurance, are you aware that Medicare does not cover specialized health treatments such as advanced immunotherapy or gene therapy? How many seniors will be forced to go on welfare and Medicaid because they can't pay for their rent and pay more for Medicare?

Just asking.

Medicare will be changed to support those things. He's also always been honest that taxes will need to be raised, but the cost of taxes will be less than what Americans spend on private insurance premiums, actually saving money.

Also, the tax burden is going to be higher upon the wealthy, as it should be. That college kid isn't going to see his taxes raise unless he's already making significant earnings.
@ViciDraco What do you spend 40% of your paycheck on?

@puck61 Mortgage
@ViciDraco Well, God bless ya! At least someone will end up a 'home owner'. What are you going to spend the other 20% on?

@puck61 I don't get taxed at near 40% if that is what you are implying. And the added tax in my bracket for a single payer system will likely be less than my current insurance benefit presently taken out of my check. Also the share my employer pays would go away, this saving them money on their side too.

Single payer is less expensive. It just changes how it is paid for.
@ViciDraco When and[c=#BF0000] IF [/c]your beloved socialism takes hold you will be paying at least 40% of your paycheck to the government baby sitter. If you are not paying that much you will suffer dire consequences, because anyone who intends to pay less will be doing some serious Venezuela style socialism. Ask any Norwegian or Swede.

@puck61 if that covers medical care for all, tuition free college and trade school education, and ensures everyone has a home then it will be taxes well paid. But it's important that we eatablish new tax brackets for higher income levels as well to pay down national debt. Additionally, we could cut the military budget in half and still have the largest military budget on the planet.
@ViciDraco There are already too many educated idiots. It seems the stupidest people on earth are professional students. I know more now than they will ever learn, and I have forgotten more than they will ever come to know. The academic system is pumping out cookie cutter idiots by the millions. It is pure sickness.
