It better be, the left has been bellyaching about it for long enough now

firefall · 61-69, M
Not in the least, as the report specifically says that this is no exoneration. I.e., Trump is lying again. As always
firefall · 61-69, M
@Heartlander I repeat - the report specifically says that this is no exoneration -
your handwaving is just more lying bullshit. Fuck off.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@Heartlander

I can't believe I have to point this out, but in the US, there is ....

Always a presumption of innocence until proven otherwise.

Why has that presumption suddenly vanished when the discussion leans left? Why are liberals so quick to abandon that fundamental feature of our legal system when applied to non-liberals?
@Heartlander SMH. Even if there was a presumption of guilt, Barr's summary should help rebut it.

But, since you brought it up, should the presumption of innocence even apply to a President who claims he's immune from prosecution where the DOJ says he can't be indicted while in office?

First off, I'm not 100% sure on that one, and I'm really not sure what relevance it should have to Congress, either when doing oversight, or potentially, for impeachment when the alleged high high crimes and misdemeanors may not be identical to the investigation.
XReaganX · 26-30, F
Nope because now they have to investigate how the Democrats obtained a warrant to legally bug Trump. If that warrant is illegitimate on the "why", people are going to jail.
4meAndyou · F
No. I was taking the temperature of the opposition party this morning and listened to MSNBC for two minutes, (about all I could stand), and they are leaping to the need for examination of the FULL report.

They are claiming that Bill Barr is one of Trump's friends and supporters and that they can NOT rely on his summary because of that, and that if ANY part of the report is redacted (as it must be, because it contains information pertaining to a grand jury trial) then that part of the report contains information detrimental to Trump. So they will drag this out as long as they possibly can, unashamed...and they really SHOULD be ashamed.

Then, when that is exhausted, they will hop over to Adam Schiff's and Ralph Nader's desperate search for a crime...any crime, anywhere, anytime, at any level.
katielass · F
@4meAndyou But the summary is not just Barr's conclusion. He and roddy rosenstein came to their conclusions together. And not even the left would call rosenstein a Trump supporter.
@4meAndyou Hon, you could have asked me and I could have saved you some of that pain. 😃

No one should have expected Democrats to accept that Summary at face value, and IMO, no one should.

Barr even promised more info, and I'm sure he's working on redactions even as we speak, which will give Trump even more ammunition to shove down Democrats throats.

I really do think the Mueller investigation has helped Trump far more than it has hurt him, and the Democratic House will have a much harder time now, harder with every day Barr drags it out.

I suspect, without Mueller, the Democrats might have even won more seats in both houses, and now, collusion, which I suspect Trump always liked fighting better than being a useful idiot or unwitting pawn, is a solid win for Trump and egg on the faces of everyone who pushed it.
4meAndyou · F
@katielass That will be ignored. BUT Rosenstein can't sign any FISA applications now that Barr is there to keep him honest, at least. I can't wait until he leaves. He is part of that odorous mess Hillary created...and it WAS Hillary who put us all through this hell.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Nope, there’s a few loose ends to that need to be tidied up now. Such as dealing with the perpetrators of this little hoax that has cost the government over $30 million. Not to mention treason.
4meAndyou · F
@softspokenman

McCain and 33 other POW's were pardoned by Richard Nixon for the charge of treason.

"Upon McCain’s return from Vietnam, his records as a POW were immediately marked classified. His commanding officer while he was a POW, Colonel Ted Guy, submitted a series of charges to military prosecutors that cited McCain with treason among other things. McCain, along with 33 other POW’s, faced court martial with McCain by far being the one accused of the most serious of crimes. But it was also McCain, who was the son and grandson of distinguished Navy Admirals, that had to be protected at all costs for the sake of his family’s distinguished reputation. Because of this, the worst traitor in American history became known as a war hero and was elected to the Senate. President Richard Nixon issued a blanket pardon for McCain and the other 33 POW’s.

Sgt. Major John Holland, Army Colonel Earl Hopper and the CIA’s Ted Sampley, who are all dead now, had cited McCain for crimes as serious as planning air defenses for the Hanoi government to aid them in downing American pilots. Hopper credits McCain with helping to shoot down 60 American aircraft. Many others who actually served with McCain claim it was he who nearly sunk the nuclear super-carrier USS Forrestal. Nearly 300 servicemen were killed and wounded from that incident. I have no definitive proof of these claims."

@4meAndyou That's a really interesting site you pulled up on McCain.
McCain was pardoned for treason 'Revenge Of The Herd'. Eventually, he made the first of several of the Anti-American propaganda confession videos. @cherokeepatti

Lol, asif! No, some will denounce Mueller, some will move on to another attack, and then there's Butthead O'Rourke, calling for Civil War, and saying the world is going to end. They are terminally deranged, and will never just accept that Trump won an election that they rigged.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
The end?

Hmmm????

Was it the end when the Chicago police discovered that Jussie Smollett's claim about being attacked was less than credible?

Did the police just call it a day and go home when it started to look like Smollett was probably more a liar than a victim?

This is a great opportunity for the American people to demand more honesty from their government.

Why is it a crime for us citizens to lie to the FBI, a crime to lie to Congress, a crime to lie on a loan application, a crime to in any way obstruct government investigations and/or processes? YET, members of congress and federal employees get away with lying to the American people?
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
As i understand it the 'revelations' that did come out as a result of it mean several other people and potential charges are now being investigated.

I would say, whoever you support and for whatever reason, i wouldn't read too much into all this.
The Trump administration has been very good at creating mountains out of molehills while other stuff slips by you in the newsfeed !
Nimbus · M
@Picklebobble2 🤔
Mmmmmmm, something to think about.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@Nimbus Research: A good day to bury bad news.

Brits had a similar thing some years ago.
Make the leader scream and shout at the press....etc and while the media reports on that, release bad jobless figures and nobody will notice kinda thing.
Nimbus · M
@Picklebobble2 Good point.
the news cycle never rests...... 2 years and millions and millions dollar later...... and lawyers and journalists sucked that tit completely dry. to them, it wasn't a failure, because they made a living for those two years regardless if it was the truth or not. now, to find something else they can hook on to for a couple of years. LOL
EvilFairy · 18-21, F
fox news called the report was unrealiable and we shouldnt believe it...
katielass · F
@EvilFairy No they didn't. Have you learned nothing from others who lie?

Not by a longshot, it's time for the perpetrators of the hoax to be held fully accountable and prosecuted to the full extent of the law, Obama and Clinton included.
curiosi · 61-69, F
Nope, libs will never let it go.
Did he lie to the country when he made the promise that Mexico would pay for the wall ? @curiosi
curiosi · 61-69, F
😄 His base people believed him before he came up with "What I meant was..." @curiosi
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Trust me. This guy will go down in history as Teflon Don.
Up to his neck but none of it will ever stick.
smiler2012 · 56-60
@Picklebobble2 lies can come back too haunt you as you mention Clinton how true where the accusations again him from monica Lewinsky true was there a cover up there too as I say no one should be above the law to be honest these are politicians we are talking about here and over time a lot have not been noted for being honest and upright politics is a dirty game with as lot of corrupt players
There is a growing awareness of the hypocrisy, greed and deceit, in Politics, Business, Religion, and recently, Higher Education. The only things that we have to rely on, in this one time life experience, is each other and the truth. @smiler2012
smiler2012 · 56-60
@softspokenman it is a pity the realisation has just been discovered now as this as gone on throughout time and memorial as the saying goes power corrupts and does it nnot
are you kidding - now they are going to investigate Muller for lying or something - anything - ANYTHING - I think Muller ran a stop sign when he first learned how to drive therefore Trump is guilty.
LonelyMan · M
As long as Trump is President, their ridiculous attempts to discredit him will continue. Terrible two year olds demonstrate more maturity than Democrats.
@LonelyMan Was it ridiculous when trump accused Obama of not being an American Citizen without any proof ?
DarkMoon · 22-25, M
It could be the end of criminal charges. In terms of the search for truth, it's just the conclusion of one phase.
katielass · F
No, the dumtards seem hell bent on continuing with this conspiracy they started.
Trump had to pay extra for Collusion insurance.
How many times has he lied to the Country ?
smiler2012 · 56-60
nimbus yes he ha got away with it 😫
