Is Shaikat Chakrabarti a US citizen?

According to an explosive complaint filed Monday with the Federal Election Commission (FEC), Saikat Chakrabarti, the chief of staff of New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, might have violated campaign finance law by funneling nearly $1 million in contributions from political action committees Chakrabarti established to private companies.

The FEC complaint asserts that Chakrabarti established two PACs, the Brand New Congress PAC and Justice Democrats PAC, and then systematically transfered more than $885,000 in contributions received by those PACs to the Brand New Campaign LLC and the Brand New Congress LLC — companies that, unlike PACs, are exempt from reporting all of their significant expenditures. The PACs claimed the payments were for “strategic consulting.”

I'm so confused.

This feels like someone posted a question, "is the sky blue?" And referenced content about a secret underwater laboratory.

@JoeyFoxx It certainly is an odd thing to lead with.
Simply exploring the background of someone alleged to have violated election laws. Should you choose to look into his political background this is one powerful individual. @JoeyFoxx @QuixoticSoul

@jackjjackson But, you're not. You have provided nothing that suggests he wasn't born in the US. There doesn't seem to be anyone else riding this hobby horse.

If the allegations about campaign finance manipulations are true, that would seem to indicate he's a shady character.

But, what evidence do you have that he's not a citizen? Where did this come from?

(I have a feeling I'm going to regret this)
Not at all. Other than our Q finding an article that offhand mentions the guy was born in Fort Worth the internet seems silent. Simply by asking the question as you see I’ve been attacked. It almost seems as though some “protest too much”.

As we are seeing it’s bad enough when citizens violate election laws it seems to me that the public finds it even more problematic when noncotozens such as say Russians are committing the violation.

Shaikat Chakrabarti seems to make President Obama look like an amateur as a community organizer. @JoeyFoxx
@JoeyFoxx

Hey! How come you're not being accused of personal attacks and having your comments deleted for not staying on topic!?

I've asked the same thing and been accused of both!😏
JoeyFoxx · 56-60, M
@jackjjackson Jack, I've done a little Internet sleuthing, and not even the alt-right folks have asked about this guy's citizenship... but they've been running other negative stories about him since 2017.

So... your questions about non-citizenship seem weirdly misplaced.

You still haven't explained where this came from.

But, shouldn't we be worried about the toy-box in your bedroom?
JoeyFoxx · 56-60, M
@Pikachu DUH! Clearly you are a mean mean person who is only capable of character assassination and you must be put in your place.
I asked a question. Prior to asking I found nothing. So far other than our friend Q finding an offhand statement in an article no one has come up with anything so it seems it was a reasonable question. One that you have not even tried to answer and instead badgering me about why I asked it. Shaikat Chakrabarti has become a politcal force in the background and is only now being outted. It appears that he arranged for hundreds of candidates following his agenda to get on ballots and one, Cortez, won and Shaikat Chakrabarti has run things for her since day one and continues to do so, and has a boatload of his own as well as the money of others. @Pikachu
@jackjjackson

If you gave me your real name, do you think i'd be able to google to find proof of your citzenship?
lol your entire "defense" rests on the idea that if someone is not famous enough to have an internet page about them, you're justified in questioning where they come from.

So i should have found evidence, you say?

Why aren't you holding yourself to that same standard?
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson You’re overselling this dramatically 😂
JoeyFoxx · 56-60, M
@jackjjackson Why are you deflecting Jack?

I asked about your toy-box?

Are you hiding something? I merely asked a question and clearly you are unwilling to answer it.
Personal attacks Joey? @JoeyFoxx
Ever hear of the rope a dope technique? Seems like a lot of lefties have whipped themselves into a later 😉 @QuixoticSoul
Nope. No toy box. Sorry sto disappoint me Joey. Project much! @JoeyFoxx
JoeyFoxx · 56-60, M
@jackjjackson Absolutely not. I simply asked a question and you are deflecting.

Just answer the question.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson I dunno man, tbh you look pretty weird here on this post 🤷‍♂️
TBH Shaikat Chakrabarti looks darned suspicious the apologist knows it.
Joey if you asked a question it got lost in the waters you muddied. @JoeyFoxx
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson He does look somewhat questionable - but that has nothing to do with the bizarre way you’re behaving here. This is just weird, dude. All of it.
Seems to me a lot of defenders of the I defensible have crawled out of the woodwork. @QuixoticSoul
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson You’ve made all of this so weird that nobody is even talking about what he’s being accused of lmao. Which, as far as I can tell, isn’t nearly as bad as you make it out to be either.
Sure make it about me. Pretend it doesn’t exist. Just like your railroad boondoggle. @QuixoticSoul
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson It exists. The railroad does too 🤷‍♂️
Did you buy the property for the B&B catering to railroad aficionados as I recommended? @QuixoticSoul
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson LoL you seem pretty sore that they’re actually building the thing 😂
