Is Shaikat Chakrabarti a US citizen?

According to an explosive complaint filed Monday with the Federal Election Commission (FEC), Saikat Chakrabarti, the chief of staff of New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, might have violated campaign finance law by funneling nearly $1 million in contributions from political action committees Chakrabarti established to private companies.

The FEC complaint asserts that Chakrabarti established two PACs, the Brand New Congress PAC and Justice Democrats PAC, and then systematically transfered more than $885,000 in contributions received by those PACs to the Brand New Campaign LLC and the Brand New Congress LLC — companies that, unlike PACs, are exempt from reporting all of their significant expenditures. The PACs claimed the payments were for “strategic consulting.”

Why would you ask if Chakrabarti, a Fort Worth Texas native, is a US citizen? Is he too brown to be one?

If there were campaign finance law violations, those should be investigated and charges levied as appropriate. On that we can agree, right? I'm sure you would include Trump in similar investigations and charges, right? By the way, is Trump a US citizen?

@jackjjackson The fact that you sincerely think this just proves what I said true 🤷‍♂️
As suspected Cortez is a joke nothing more. The mechanism that spat Cortez out is problematic. @QuixoticSoul

@jackjjackson Uh huh.

I'm so confused.

This feels like someone posted a question, "is the sky blue?" And referenced content about a secret underwater laboratory.
For WHAT they are allegedly going to do the money would be better used by sending it to Puerto Rico for infrastructure. @QuixoticSoul

@jackjjackson Tough titty - you want that sweet transportation cash, you can build your own infrastructure. Puerto Rico is also eligible for the same grants, as is everyone else.
Some of those folks still have no power. Hard to compare that to an overpriced never to operate railroad to and from nowhere. @QuixoticSoul

You sure opened a can of hate on this one bro!
But in my option, this shit of campaign funds will get swept under the rug. They don’t want their little media darling to get tarnished.
Just reporting the facts sir and trying to learn more from INFORMED readers. @Hikingguy

In one sense it would be lovely to see the little bitch go to prison but that's just a dream. Won't happen. Do you have any idea how many of our employees violate campaign finance laws every election cycle? Every president going back to clintoon, twice, and probably before that too. They never get more than a fine and/or chance to correct the "error".
