Please. Before you post political stuff, do your homework.
It just makes you look an ass !

@Picklebobble2 OK, name some socialist states that have worked. I'll give you a clue, it isn't Marxism, Stalinism, Leninism, Maoism or Nazism, and Venezuela is a very big no no.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@PikachuTrainer Please do your research. Many nations have done very well through collective bargaining and other socialist ideals.
Marxism is a political; social and economic theory.
See also Engels.

Stalin was a ruthless dictator. Nothing whatsoever to do with socialism. Despite what you may think. Again, do your research.

Leninism is Lenin's interpretation of Marxism. Not an original idea.

Maoism is Mao's interpretation of communism. And if you cn think of a better way to feed a Billion people, be sure to let them know.

Nazism is nothing to do with socialism. That is a psychologically disturbed dictator's interpretation and re-classifying of a word......Much like Trump does today !

@Picklebobble2 I've done my research and there is no country that is doing well using Socialism, and all that I have mentioned are just forms of Socialism, ideologies, and yes Nazism is a form of Socialism, in fact it is a shortened version of Nationalsozialismus, but please you have yet to give some examples.

@PikachuTrainer Ok i'm not about to school a numbskull who likens Hitler's ideology with any acceptable form of political thinking. Much less a socialist way of thinking.

it's all out there you can research it.

I always find when you resort to childish name calling you've lost the argument🤷‍♂️
PikachuTrainer · 26-30, M
@Picklebobble2 I've done quite a bit of research already on Socialism, and I'm by no means a numbskull. The biggest problem with Socialism is that, yes it sounds good on paper, but in practice it breads corruption of the worst kind. If you want to school me sure go a head, but I'm by far not ignorant on the subject.

@Picklebobble2 “National Socialism”’s name is propaganda, not an accurate reflection of it’s philosophy
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@PikachuTrainer Again. Research it properly and you'll find the answers, then come back at me.
Like i said, anyone who cant or won't recognize Hitler and Stalin as dictators first, politicians second is not worth anybody's time debating with.
PikachuTrainer · 26-30, M
@Picklebobble2 I already have, however it is not upto me to do the "research" but upto you to prove that it does work, which it doesn't. And no, that is actually the first time you said it, so it isn't like what you said, just something new in the spanner. And I've yet to find someone who doesn't agree that both Hitler and Stalin were dictators.
PikachuTrainer · 26-30, M
@OggggO most states that say they are Socialist say it in name only.
@Picklebobble2
It just makes you look an ass !
Actually, do you know what makes you look like an ass?

Condescending to and insulting someone and then utterly failing to substantiate your claims.
Repeatedly.
@PikachuTrainer It looks like anyone can claim something is socialism, but usually it’s used as an epithet. When asked to describe what socialism actually is, there are almost as many descriptions as there are people. Even so-called National Socialism wasn’t actually socialism. Hitler incarcerated leftists along with his other targets.
PikachuTrainer · 26-30, M
@bijouxbroussard yet there is only one underlining definition of what socialism is.
@PikachuTrainer And that is...?
PikachuTrainer · 26-30, M
@bijouxbroussard the one written by German Philosopher Karl Marx.
@PikachuTrainer So only his ideas are valid ? 🤔
PikachuTrainer · 26-30, M
@bijouxbroussard he did write the book on it so yes.
PikachuTrainer · 26-30, M
Socialism is however not a new idea, it has existed before the time of Karl Marx, though whether it was true Socialism is just Socialism in name only is up to debate.
@PikachuTrainer Even theories committed to paper have evolved and been amended with the passage of time, true ? Others contribute. That’s certainly so with other ideologies.
PikachuTrainer · 26-30, M
@bijouxbroussard true enough, however there is still a clear a difference between Socialism, and Social Welfare, something some people do not quite understand.
@PikachuTrainer Definitely so in my country. National healthcare, which would benefit those who can’t afford private health insurance, is dismissed as “socialism” here, even though other developed countries have successful programs.
OggggO · 36-40, M
@PikachuTrainer Marx wrote a book about communism, not socialism.
PikachuTrainer · 26-30, M
@OggggO You'll find that both go hand in hand.
OggggO · 36-40, M
@PikachuTrainer Incorrect.
PikachuTrainer · 26-30, M
@OggggO nope, communism is but an ideology of socialism, you cannot have communism without socialism.
