Seven Mps resign from Labour, your thoughts?

@bijouxbroussard Its complex but the best way of explaining it to Americans is to understand labour as being divided in hillary vrs bernie lines but more entrenched and for a longer period. Its a left vrs centre divide and anti establishment vrs establishment though ironically in this case its the Labour leader who is anti establishment lol.

The leftists like me support corbyn and the Labour leadership. A lot if MPs have been trying to undermine corbyn since he has been elected three years ago and this split is the latest example.

Its to do with Brexit because labour centrist are usually more pro EU than corbyn. It's also to do with accusations if anti semetism aimed at the Labour left, of which there is little evidence.

Labour also had a split in the eighties when centrist broke from a left leadership. It split the progressive vote and helped Thatcher get a bigger majority so its a worry that this could happen again.

@LvChris I didn't but I know that over there it's a real problem and their govt is virtually alt right.

@Burnley123 @LvChris It seems weird that they would be at odds with Israel considering that Netanyahu is such a darling of the right in my country.

@bijouxbroussard it kind of is here too. The right of the Labour party is very pro Israel, as is the right of the Democrats. Corbyn has history with Palestinian rights groups and is such a leftist on foreign policy that he once wanted to abolish NATO. The MPs resigning are somewhat liberal(ish) on domestic issues and hate corbyn foreign policy.
