Recently some politicians have begun to talk about morality on at least two different issues. Do you think it is believable, in any way, for a Washington politician to sling the concept of "morality" around?

Humanity=hypocrisy

@puck61 Hmm. That's a little twisty for me. I'll have to think my way through it.
@4meAndyou It's like narcissism. It's something we all practically wear like war medals or sacred adornment, and yet we use words like "hypocrite" and "narcissist" to describe what we claim to hate about each other. Myself included, of course. Remember how Paul always said, "...of whom I am chief."? I can't make a correlation between this reality and my rants against "the left". Like I've said, I don't understand how I can not hate something that is very very very bad. As far as individuals are concerned, though, we call each other "hypocrites" and "narcissists" knowing full well that hypocrisy and narcissism is practically synonymous with the attribute of 'reason' .

You lost me here.
@MistyCee Hypocrisy and narcissism are human characteristics like creativity or violence. We either try to accentuate them or we try to subdue them, but they are there regardless. What we call a narcissist is actually a person who has not subdued their narcissism as much as we think they should have. What we call a hypocrite is a person who has not subdued their hypocrisy as much as we think they should have.
@puck61 Ahhh. The reason thing threw me.
@MistyCee I understand. I talk weird. I have this odd habit of speaking archaically. Partly because I am an anachronism, and partly because I'm bat shit nuts, I suppose.
@puck61 I like the way you talk. Even when I don't like what you say, I like the way you say it.

I get that hypocrisy and narcissism are part of human nature, but I don't think they're synonymous with it. I'd prefer to think of them as the baser parts.
@MistyCee Yeah! Your's is actually the 'higher plane' thinking on it. I can't seem to shake this damn cynicism that seems to accompany sobriety. I think I was better off drinking.
@puck61 I could use a drink myself right now. Coffee is just not doing it for me.
@MistyCee Yeah. I wish I had something stout right now. It's my birthday, and I'm lonely and miserable. Whaaaaaaaaaaa! 😭
@puck61 Awww happy birthday!!!!!🍰
