Can Britain be trusted?

Julian Assange is being pressured to leave the Equadorian Embassy after Embassy Officials state that months of quite diplomacy have resulted in Britain giving assurances that Mr Assange will not be extradited to the US unless the US removes the option of the death penalty.
I believe the US will acquiesce to this request and Mr Assange will be extradited to the US and face the rest of his life in prison.

No authority can be trusted,especially Britain and America.Assange is a brave man,and a hero.

@pedrohedgerow Really? lol

He's an unmitigated jackass (to be polite about it) who endangered many lives of British and American citizens through what he allowed wikileaks to publish.

I think you definitely need whistleblowers sometimes to uncover obscene acts by authorities whether they are big companies, or the state itself.

I don't think you need to behave like Assange to do it.

@pedrohedgerow True. Never trust any Authority to tell the truth. Even if he does not get the death penalty he may be imprisoned for the Term of his Natural Life.

@Lhayezee As someone who is fully aware of covert government agendas and been a target for such I have good reason for my views.Walk a mile in my shoes then tell me different.The man is a hero.

@Gusman 👍️

@pedrohedgerow He is in my eyes as well. I admire him to the max.

@pedrohedgerow I wasn't denying that part so much - more that Assange personally is a pretty revolting and supremely arrogant man. I don't think you need to be like HIM to do the good that he has done (and I think he has, as well as bad)
pedrohedgerow · 61-69, M
@Lhayezee The thing is Lhayezee,if people knew just what was happening behind the veneer of decency and truth these organisations like to project,and what they have planned for our futures,they would want every hero brave enough to speak out,to speak out,I kid you not.☹️

@pedrohedgerow I'm so sorry i was distracted by the whiff of conspiracy theorising there I couldn't focus
pedrohedgerow · 61-69, M
@Lhayezee Thinking all cospiracy theories are untrue is as foolish as believing them all.
Lhayezee · 26-30, F
@pedrohedgerow By that token, assuming any specific one is true is also foolish
Lhayezee · 26-30, F
@pedrohedgerow A good rule of thumb is, that if a conspiracy needs more than about half a dozen people to make it work, it simply wont (people like to blab); you can have a conspiracy to embezzle a company, just about, and get away with it if you're lucky. You cannot deceive a country for very long. Ever.

How many thousands of people are necessary to be on board for the US and UK governments to devise and execute a clandestine plan to control everyone by subtle and secretive means?
pedrohedgerow · 61-69, M
Wow...thats a mighty fine line of reasoning...😵
Lhayezee · 26-30, F
@pedrohedgerow At least some of us demonstrate they are capable thereof
pedrohedgerow · 61-69, M
