Can Britain be trusted?

Julian Assange is being pressured to leave the Equadorian Embassy after Embassy Officials state that months of quite diplomacy have resulted in Britain giving assurances that Mr Assange will not be extradited to the US unless the US removes the option of the death penalty.
I believe the US will acquiesce to this request and Mr Assange will be extradited to the US and face the rest of his life in prison.

He hasn't been accused of a crime that carries the death penalty.

@katielass The death penalty exist in the US for releasing classified US State Department documents. ...
He may face the death penalty. Remember, never trust Government to ever tell the truth.
The US Government had already drawn up an arrest warrant but did not want the world to know.
A mistaken release saw that document become public knowledge.

@Gusman Do you recall the last person who was put to death for a crime against the state? It was actually two people and their name was Rosenstein. But they were not the last to commit a crime against the state. hitlery comes to mind and she's not on death row is she.

@katielass Of course not. Hillary was cleared by the FBI. Twice.
Jullian Assange has yet to come before the courts. He is despised by the majority of US Citizens. What chance of a fair trial?

@Gusman If Assange had leaked terrible things on the repubs he'd be the media's hero. What I bet most media has ignored is that the repubs were also hacked but apparently there was nothing to "get" them on.
