Has the ACLU become a tool of the radical left?

The ACLU and one other organization in San Francisco have petitioned federal Judge Jon S. Tigar for a restraining order against President Trumps order to deny asylum to anyone not entering the United States at a legal point of entry. This will delay the implementation of Trumps order for at least one month.

Any caravan member who decides to rush the border illegally is now free and clear thanks to the ACLU.

It has always been a tool of the radical left. It was founded by the radical left.
"The ACLU was founded in the 1920s by Roger Baldwin and Crystal Eastman, described as a “progressive” and “the perfect feminist.”. Earl Browder was general secretary of the Communist Party of the United States from 1930 through its dissolution in 1944."

@bowman81 However, they also USED to defend impartially. The KKK, Nazis, (obviously not of the left) have all been defended by them in the past. However, the ACLU has changed, and now defends radical leftist causes almost exclusively. The balance has been lost. There was a change in leadership in 2004, and I believe the leftist change occurred then.

@4meAndyou It has always been selective in which rights it would defend...2nd amendment issues have always been off limits to them. Only those area that applied to their interests were defended.

@bowman81 Actually, only those interests that would line their pockets.
