Sovereign citizen/ freeman on the land: Can someone explain to me the argument "i'm not driving...

...i'm travelling." ?

Like, yeah. You ARE traveling and you're doing that by operating a motor vehicle which requires a license.
How is this meant to be a defense?

In a nutshell, "Sovereign Citizens" think the law doesn't apply to them if they don't want it too. I've seen them try "I do not recognize the legitimacy of this court." They don't seem to realize, these laws and systems...they aren't requests or suggestions.
