Does anyone know anything about this asylum question? I can't find any information online.

I am playing on the computer, only half listening to the news on my headphones, and the Tucker Carlson show came on. I THOUGHT I heard him say that hidden or included inside a bill that either was or will be passed by Congress, is a proviso that states asylum will automatically be granted to anyone from a foreign country who is fleeing gang violence. Um....that would probably include all of South America and half of Mexico, right? If it is true?

He also says that Republicans in Congress don't seem to care, and he says that this will effectively open our borders to anyone at all, overturning almost all of Trumps' border security issues.

I almost always fact check, because I find anything I hear on TV is usually only half true, if not completely false, but I can't find one article about this, and google usually lists details of bills before Congress.

Does anyone else know any details about this?

Oh, BTW....this question is NOT NOT NOT an open invitation to bully others, be nasty, bash Trump, or any of the other lovely things people seem to enjoy doing.

@4meAndyou The funding bill was passed in committee and then the amendment to relax the asylum rules was included. The entire house has yet to vote on it however, so write or call your rep. Let them know if they keep this shit up they'll not only get another term of Trump they'll be replaced. They work for us, not the other way around.

@4meAndyou Oh yeah, I wouldn't worry about the FBi but the left has gotten so violent. They are threatening people and their kids. I was reading an article on it this afternoon, they have arrested quite a few of them. These people have allowed themselves to be manipulated because they lost an election and you'd think the world was coming to an end. smh
