Sarah Sanders, press secretary to President Trump, was asked to leave the Red Hen restaurant in Lexington Virginia last night .

She was asked to leave because of the man for whom she works. What are your thoughts or feelings about what happened to her?

I think it's ridiculous to go at people in government when they are acting as a private citizen.

@CopperCicada You’re 100% right. And a president shouldn’t be trashing private citizens either or their business.

@CopperCicada Surely there are limits? Is a Nazi SS officer entitled to a pleasant day off with his family when he leaves the death camp?
@WoodyAq I agree. Is that what we're dealing with though? It seems everyone, regardless of their political persuasion, seems entitled to get into people's shit. For freedom. 1A. Because of God. Truth. Whatever.

@CopperCicada I would argue that deliberately and obviously lying as Trump and Sanders do is disrespectful enough that it is no longer a political issue. It's a question of manners.
@WoodyAq legit. i can see that.

but if people keep attacking and harassing public officials we are going to give trump another 4 years.

@CopperCicada I do think it is a tactic that should be used as seldom as possible and only for extreme, moral purposes.
@WoodyAq So do we harass the guy on the sex crimes registry in the hood? Or the guy who did his time for domestic violence? homicide?

I get it. I was raised as a white supremacist, so I'm familiar with the Nazi rise to power. The Nazis were enabled. Fuck. The Catholic Church had a deal with them.

I'm just seeing the left burning political viability like leaves.

@CopperCicada Sanders hasn't done her time. Or even apologized for her gaslighting attempts.

So the situation is different.
@WoodyAq I guess for me there is a fork in the road. War? or reconciliation? Blowing apart bridges or building them?

We need to decide. We can't use the methods of war and reconciliation together.
WoodyAq · M
@CopperCicada Any compromise that involves accepting the unacceptable wrt lies, treason and corruption is a nonstarter for me.
@WoodyAq I guess there is a difference between ordinary citizens and government policy/policy makers. And I guess there is a difference between compromise and reconciliation.

There is also full social and political war. That is an option.
