If Trump isn't guilty of anything and there is no collusion as he claims, then why would he need to pardon himself?

it's not constitutionally possible for POTUS to pardon himself

@SW-User Pssshh, so? Nobody gives a flying fuck about the Constitution anymore, it's not like any president from Reagan and onward has bothered to adhere to constitutional law.

@SW-User It's really a moot point but for argument's sake the constitution does not say one way or the other but doj has for 50+ years decided a president could pardon himself. That's been the policy. And this was discussed in Oct 2016 with regard to hitlery and the left wing consensus the was that she could pardon herself. Isn't it nice that someone in the media dragged all that out of the dust bin and reminded us about that.
@SW-User Says who? Does the constitution explicitly say the potus can't pardon himself? If it did I doubt there'd be so much debate over it right now. I did read this earlier. I'm sure this would piss a lot of people off if it happened.
A different approach to the pardoning problem could be taken under Section 3 of the Twenty-Fifth Amendment. If the President declared that he was temporarily unable to perform the duties of his office, the Vice President would become Acting President and as such he could pardon the President. Thereafter the President could either resign or resume the duties of his office.”
@BlueMetalChick publicly and brazenly crossing lines of impeachment believing one operates with political and constitutional impunity (and clearly not understanding the difference) is bad for business, a shot will be fired at some point.
