David Hogg should go to the south side of Chicago and tell gang members to give up their guns

@sunsporter1649 Exactly. The majority of gunshot victims on the South Side die not from intentional homicide but rather from stray bullets. Gangsters have particularly bad aim. When they get in a shootout, they often miss their target and an innocent person gets hit instead. Meaning if you're walking around carrying a concealed weapon for self defense, chances are it's not gonna do much to make you safe. Because you can't shoot the assailant if you can't even see them coming. They're off blasting away at each other and a bullet comes flying out of nowhere and hits you. In truth, you'd be better off wearing body armor.

@BlueMetalChick I just looked up recent gun violence in Chicago and “wildly successful” seems like an exaggeration if you’re talking about how much the buy back program has helped with gun violence.

@getmeouttahere It was wildly successful the last time I contributed, at least, but that was in summer of 2015 so it's been a couple years. It might have had lower turnout since then. I had a pair of submachine guns (they were my sister's, not mine) that I cashed in.

@BlueMetalChick Really? What street? I stayed at Cottage Grove. I also lived in Naperville. Hung out in Aurora, oswego, Justice, Burridge, etc. I know about Chicago. Englewood, 47th,and whatever else you want to throw at me

@SW-User The intersection of North avenue and Spaulding, Humboldt Park. You know where the big armory is on North and Kedzie? I'm two blocks west of that, same side of the street as Roser's Bakery.

Cottage Grove, Naperville, Aurora, Oswego, and Burridge are all outside of Chicago. Those are suburbs, the Greater Chicago Metropolitan Area, or Chicagoland.

@BlueMetalChick I know exactly where that is. We should meet up. There should be a donught place near there.

@SW-User Glazed and Infused donuts in Wicker Park was my regular haunt but they shut down when Francesca's Forno went under. I kinda expected that to happen though, Evan was selling a lot of things other than donuts.
