I'm an active member of Momentum and the Labour Party, so yeah I have skin in the game. I became politically active IRL because of Corbyn winning the Labour leadership because I felt that for the first time in my adult life, my own views were being represented.
Corbyn is not a conventional leader but in a way I see that as a strength. I like his integrity and authenticity. I would take that over any slick politician who is only in it for power.
I think policy matters even more. For years our political system was governed by two parties who did almost tge same.
No, British citizen: you do not get a choice on overseas wars, acadamisation of schools, defunding the NHS, low taxes for the rich and privatisation. Suck it up because that is the political reality.
Now we have the choice of something different. The Labour manifesto was excellent and in spite of the establishment's attempts to make it all about personality, the real issues cut through to a lot of people.
I don't care if Corbyn is a boring speaker with a crap beard and a scruffy suit. He says what he thinks and I agree with him. That is what matters to me.

@Burnley123 I'd actually see his scruffy suit and boring speeches as plusses. Exciting oratory tends to be a marker for some pretty shifty policies.

@thatscottishguy I wouldn’t believe the polls! But seriously, why would it be ridiculous? Surely all parts of the UK would be affected by the separation of Scotland, or any other major part of the country.

Do you feel the people of the different EU nations should have got to vote in the brexit referendum?

@thatscottishguy Good point!

if they boot Bercow from Speaker, would he qualify for PM?
Jm31xxx · 41-45, M
@Longpatrol ummm, a lot of people think he's an idiot though.
Longpatrol · 31-35, M
@Jm31xxx The internet loves him though. That seems to be the only qualification that matters these days...

Commit to England selfdestructing, and pick Boris

I’ll probably be laughed out of court, but my choice, from a weak field, would be Boris Johnson (seriously!)

That's a tough one, maybe we should go the US way and throw a celeb under the bus?
