Ban an AR-15 because it appears to be a big deal to a lot of people.
I don't know how to buy guns on the black market. Do you? Wouldn't that keep them out of the hands of average joe school shooters?

I really don't get the pushback to banning these guns for civilians.

Alcohol was banned in the US with advent of the 18th Amendment.
Prohibition went horribly and gave rise to powerful crime syndicates all over the country.
With the 21st Amendment it was repealed.
Lessons learned, we'll see if they stick.
