No Collusion?

Trump just tweeted:
Russia started their anti-US campaign in 2014, long before I announced that I would run for President. The results of the election were not impacted. The Trump campaign did nothing wrong - no collusion!
So, does this mean that he no longer believes Putin's word, or does it mean that the investigation is not a witch hunt?

For a supposedly smart guy you would think he would have learned by now when to keep his mouth shut.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Isn’t genius an IQ of 150 no gray areas? I’ve not seen any expose’ of the president’s actual IQ. I find individuals that suffer from “smartest person in the room” syndrome unbearable. I don’t see that president suffering from thst particular syndrome. @Northwest

@jackjjackson In that case, you have at least about 100 hours worth of his interviews to read and catch up on that last part of your sentence. There has not been a single area, where he did not declare himself smarter than everyone else, the Generals included.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
He always seems to pull that in by referencing his expert advisors de jour. @Northwest

Trump is as convincing as Lascar. 😜

Communications down? @Northwest

@jackjjackson Either that, or he's entertaining a bunch of hot supermodels.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Good point. The supermodels are probably sucking up all the bandwidth tweeting instagramming, texting and a lot of music for pole dancing. @Northwest

How can he get so many things wrong in a two line tweet?

The announcement today of the indictment of 13 Russians said that no American was subject to the indictment. So perhaps there is no evidence that these 13 worked with any Americans to influence the election process. Or possibly there will be separate indictments. That has nothing to do with the collusion that is being investigated with respect to the June 2016 meeting, or subsequent meetings, or meetings with others. So it says nothing about overall collusion at all.

He'll never acknowledge the change in stance over Putin's involvement. And expect him to continue to claim it is a witch hunt.

Its hilarious really. Its a master-class on how to talk yourself into more trouble. I wonder if his people are trying to stop him from firing Mueller.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Burnley123 I'm sure they have to talk to him daily. When the hammer comes down, he's going to go insane with blame for others, including his aides and advisors.

@LvChris Pence is more dangerous than Trump.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@LvChris I agree on all counts. I'd still rather have a stable Pence than a mentally unstable trump, but Pence believe his decisions are messages from God. This is the man who was willing to let people die rather than renew a clean needle program.

At one time I thought that the Senate would convict trump if evidence of crimes was uncovered by Mueller. It is now clear that the Republicans will not convict trump regardless of Mueller's findings, because they value party over country.

Schneiderman is working closely with Mueller and providing information on trump's prior activities in Manhattan.

It is a pretty low bar for the president to tout that neither he nor his staff were indicted today. Unfortunately for him, there are many more tomorrows, and with the third knowledgeable person (Gates) being granted immunity in a plea deal, it keeps looking worse and worse for the prez.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
You’re assuming that the tweet was carefully considered from all angles prior to posting?
Northwest · M
@jackjjackson In various tweets, he referred to this investigation, as:

Terrible
Hoax
Sad
Total scam
taxpayer funded charade
the greatest witch hunt in US political history
phony democrat excuse for losing the election

Once more, he misses the point with this tweet.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Looking at the totality of his tweets hadn’t he taken virtually all positions available to be taken? @Northwest

@jackjjackson just about

How long will it be, before someone on Trump's side, will ask for the head of the FBI Directory, over the botched Miami school massacre tip?
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Northwest I'm sure he's not very happy that Director Wray contradicted the White House timeline on the Porter fiasco and showed them to be liars.
