Nice drawing

Reminds me of the poems that I use to write
Once, in my past, when I felt that my soul was being tragically tortured by this cruel and unforgiving world…and it became my outlet
I really need to explore and rediscover that essence that exists within me
It was lost when the life I had been living discouraged that form of self expression
I’m slowly finding, that’s where I felt most comfortable
Observing this place, unobjectively
Unbiased
Without prejudice
just documenting what I experienced
Funny how that is the stance and opinion most critiqued and criticized by those with opinions and beliefs
Trying to transform what they have no claim to

@Ferric67 good luck with your journey into rediscovery! :)
Your poem beautifully captures the heavy price of unconditional love. I like you used imagery of petrification, turning “warmth to stone” illustrating a profound form of martyrdom. 😀
It’s a nice dignified exit where stillness becomes the foundation for the other's flight.
Great and the picture speaks volumes 👍🏻
