2 days and no sleep. A poem.

Let's write a poem now, shall we
and see if it helps me find again me.

Can't sleep, can't think right, can't cook
tried everything, also managed to read a book.

I have a feeling I will most definitely now faint
if I were good at it, I would surely also paint.

Two large cups of coffee, is the main culprit, I see
but then, I've also done that in the past, so I'll just let the feeling be.

Without suffering, there will be no empathy
I am now going to say eff it, and play the video-game with my Lee.

A big, large conscience always comes in the way
is so much coffee worth more than your well-being? but, hey!

It's not worthwhile, if you get it easy
so, again, I'll just let the feeling be.

Ok bye.

I am not making light of insomnia as it is an awful thing.
Your post reminded me of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy where Marvin the robot wrote a poem:

Now the world has gone to bed.
Darkness won't engulf my head.
I can see by infra-red.
How I hate the night.

Now I lay me down to sleep.
Try to count electric sheep.
Sweet dream wishes you can keep.
How I hate the night
