They're pushed/pulled down the hill several times a day by those men dressed in white, then the men walk back up, it's a mile and a half so they're very fit, the toboggans are taken back up on trucks. The road surface is shiny from wax that they put on the toboggans, they go quite fast in some parts. Have a go if you're ever in Madeira, it's good fun 😊
I don't trust any cable cars anymore. They keep falling to the ground in Europe. I'm not being carried in an egg carton suspended from 200ft by a piece of string 😒
