have you ever experienced sleep paralysis?

Yes over the last several years

It happened to me like early this year I think and it's an interesting experience. I usually feel like someone is attacking my abdomen and my body gets really tense to where my abs will feel sore well after waking up.

After realizing that I'm actually having sleep paralysis, I focus on trying to wake my body up and usually am able to. I don't remember ever falling back asleep during these sleep paralysis bouts

Too many times, though, sometimes it is an interesting experience rather than terrifying.

It started in my early 20s. Used to be some horrific figure holding me down and laughing, choking me, stomping on me.. my teeth being squished out of my skull. The last time it happened it was people walking around my house, having casual conversations but i never did see them.

I am regularly visited by my sleep paralysis demon. I made its acquaintance in high school and now it haunts me at least a few times a month. High stress seems to be a factor

Yes, and I hate it. It hasn't happened to me in quite a while tho, but years ago when I went thru a very stressful situation it happened quite often. I'm sorry you're dealing with it 💜

I've experienced it a few times. The first time it happened I'd never even heard of it before and it was terrifying.

Used to almost regularly, then I stopped sleeping on my back. I haven't had a problem for years

I think it started when I was an adult, I'm not sure exactly when. It doesn't happen often, but it's spooky when it does.
