I Suffer From Sleep Paralysis

I experience sleep paralysis dreams pretty much every time I go to sleep. It makes me feel completely drained of energy when I can finally force myself awake 😴 and they’ve been getting more and more disturbing 😰

I used to have that constantly in my twenties and thirties. I had a minor episode last week, but you are right, it is very disturbing when it happens. You can hallucinate while you are temporarily paralyzed, but none of it is real...it's just your mind trying to find a way out.

You will outgrow it. It is extremely rare to find people who still have it past the age of 40.

@4meAndyou that’s good to know. I think it’s lack of proper sleep that is making me have them so frequently. Luckily I’m learning to force myself awake more easily

@Effloresce Try sleeping at a slight angle, with your head higher than normal.

@Effloresce '' I think it’s lack of proper sleep that is making me have them so frequently.''

This is definitely a huge factor

I used to get them all the time.... Accompanied sometimes with hallucinations and a profound sense of impending dread.....Eventually they didnt seem that scary but just some weird endurance contest

If you can, try and remember not to fight against them (because you cant).... Just try and relax and let them pass over you
