I think my sciatic nerve is bothering me 😶

My lower left side of my back was hurting when I woke up which I didn't pay attention to because sometimes I sleep wrong. But then all of a sudden the pain quickly increased until I couldn't tolerate it 😭 I had my gf massage it out really hard, which helped a ton.

Then we were at the store & it started coming back. I was hoping it wouldn't be as bad but it quickly got worse. Next thing I knew, I was in the car trying everything I could to make it stop. I put the AC on ice cold at full blast & I still kept sweating from the pain. I felt like I was gonna puke & I NEVER cry from pain.. but I felt like I wanted to cry. I didn't but I just kept moaning & groaning like "ahhh idk WTF to do"

When we got home I noticed I could feel it more in every step I took with my left leg. I couldn't even walk right, it felt like I couldn't walk in full motion.

My gf ran a hot bath for me, I took 2 muscle relaxers, an anti-inflammatory pill, & a strong ibuprofen. I never take pills for pain but I did this time.
The hot bath helped calm the pain down pretty quickly & thankfully I feel okay rn 🙏 I might've been okay with just 1 muscle relaxer because they were prescription grade & now I feel super floaty... but when I was young I used to pop anywhere from 4 to 13 of them all while still smoking & drinking so I just assumed my tolerance would still be high 🤷

All I know is that even breaking my bones never hurt as bad as this pain did 😶 I've heard about sciatic pain before but never knew it felt like this

Honey, I had that same thing and it was kidney stones. Get yourself some organic Ginger capsules and take that, and it will break up the stones but it may be get worse before it gets better. I think you need to go to emergency, seriously. This is nothing to mess with.

@ChiefJustWalks those just don't go away. You mean you haven't been to the doctor yet with all that pain? I'm surprised. I was thinking about you this morning. Please update me about your pain.

@LadyGrace I passed the stone yesterday. It was small but I could feel it before it came out & I saw it when it did 😶 so I'm hoping that means it's good for now

@ChiefJustWalks oh I'm so thankful. To keep those away drink apple cider vinegar and organic Ginger capsules. I have dissolved mine that way and also vitamin C helps and especially organic garlic capsules. I would take those often if you're prone to stones. Boy I know how bad that hurt cuz I had to go in on emergency and was operated on, Christmas Day last year. I'm so glad you're feeling better and you're alright now. Sounds like you got them all out. You're very fortunate you didn't have to have an operation.
You’re not alone. I’m going through it right now. The ibuprofen helps. For me, when it shoots down to my ankle, it feels somewhat like the throbbing pain of gout. I can feel it in my right upper hip, shoots down my leg into my foot.
Hope you’re over it soon.

There is a stretch you can do every day that will ease sciatic pain. You basically lie on your back, bend your knees, cross your left leg over your right, and pull your right knee toward your chest. You'll feel the stretch instantly and have less sciatic pain. I do it every day!!!

ouch, sorry to hear... ice it on and off - be sure not to fall asleep while icing. maybe see a chiropractor for a possible pinched nerve.

@SW-User lol my back in that spot actually still feels really sore & tense 😅 I might need it relaxed a bit

You need to hydrate and stretch more

Find a stretching routine for sciatica pain on YouTube and follow it for a week, daily. Sometimes it can be as simple as that. Try it...

Massage your sciatic with a golf ball, it really gets in there.
