Devil's Claw is an herbal supplement that is supposed to be a great anti-inflammatory. It upsets your stomach, so eat something before taking it.
Ice your back immediately if you feel pain beyond what you normally feel. I purchased a large ice/heat combination pad, which you can freeze. It really helps to ice an injured area.
I used to go to the chiropractor, but I discovered that if I lay on my stomach and held on to the headboard, I could put my entire right leg over the side of the bed and hang it there for a while, and my lower back would crack just as the chiropractor had done with it, in the same place. This would provide relief for an entire day.

@4meAndyou I have bought that for someone else & heard that it works. I have to be careful with my stomach & that’s why I don’t take prescription or over counter painkillers and use herbs instead.

@cherokeepatti Every herb I have found that is supposed to be a great anti-inflammatory upsets my stomach. I wonder if it is just a trait of that kind of herb.

@4meAndyou I’ve used Boswellia and it also has a warning that it could upset the stomach but I eat something with it and it doesn’t hurt me.

@cherokeepatti I have some herbal remedies that take whatever I eat, and eat right through it...😵. So I can't take anything regularly. I just have to realize that my stomach is an unhappy place, and deal with it.
