It's funny how we all hate pain, but then when part of our body loses feeling and becomes numb

We wish we were able to feel pain to know if we were injuring ourselves or not.

Pain is the body's alarm system.

I still can't feel the side of my bottom lip and gums, so I don't know if I'm biting my lip, flossing too hard, or if the food I'm eating is too hot etc 😂

it definitely helps for a survival standpoint

how long did they say it would take for the feeling to come back?

@Matt85 could be months to a year...
Small chance of permanent

But I still think things woulda been worse if I left my wisdom teeth 🥲

That's how it is where I had my dental extraction a few years ago, no feeling at all. It's weird to have half of your face not really feel like it's there when you KNOW it is. 🤔

The stories about children with a defect where they don't feel pain are just horrible. 😨
