Anyone ever have a small lump in stomach?

As I just bent over I felt a pain on left side of my stomach. I felt the area and upon pushing my skin in a bit, felt a small lump inside my stomach. I Googled it and it said in most cases its a hernia from picking up something heavy. I did lift my heavy box spring a day ago, so Im wondering if it may be that. It said online to call doc if pain worsens or it gets bigger. I guess sometimes it can ease on its own. The pain is there mostly if I bend over. Anyone ever have this???

@uncalled4 I just was reading about those. Was it from lifting something heavy? Did you need surgery? Im getting nervous reading that a lot of hernias in stomach do need surgery, but some dont.

@Coralmist It probably was from lifting heavy drum stuff. Yes, I had surgery after I had some pain. I now squat when I lift something heavy, versus bending at the waist.

@uncalled4 Oh wow. Could you see the lump on your stomach? You cant see it on my skin on tummy, and it said if its a hernia, you can typically see it.

@Coralmist Mine was....lower lol. It was literally a pain in the balls. Essentially, an intestine poked through a thin wall of muscle(the hernia) and pushed on my nut. NOT recommended.

@Coralmist They just patched up the tear in the muscle wall with a new-at-the-time mesh fabric. It's truly a shitty design. All the weight of our torso rests on this arguably thin layer of muscle....wtf?
