I remember being pretty darn proud when I saw this hit the news stands. It isn’t especially new but it’s not likely to be surpassed anytime soon… The simplicity is part of the amazement in my opinion. Just let go…
I used to work in the Canadian Arctic and a couple of friends of mine flew for Shirley or Bow Helicopters, They did a lot of flying for heli-skiing in British Columbia, tragically one of them was killed in an avalanche.
I can't open the link but is it Mike Basich? I watched a documentary about him and what he's been getting up to the last decade about two days ago🙂 [media=https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=mike+basich+channel+5] 乂º◡º乂
@RunTheJulz I know right? I honestly wouldn't of had a clue who he was last week but the documentary series is about people who live out in the middle of nowhere off grid and it had an episode about him.
Really weird though as I don't even watch that series and it's the only one I've ever seen but by random chance (I'd been watching the programme on before it) I just happened to catch that one on telly🙂 乂º◡º乂
@DunningKruger that’s just as crazy as the actual “bomb drop” itself. So the story behind the shot is that Mike Basich (the riders name) set up a tripod and camera with a remote and then he got into the helicopter and right as he was exiting the helicopter he pushed the button on the remote and caught his amazing sequence. This fact amazed me!! Waldorf school graduate as well. He’s done a lot of very interesting projects connected to snowboarding. You should see his self constructed home built on the top of Donner Summit. He should be more well known than he is because of the fact that he lives eats and breathes snowboarding and mountain life as a whole!!!
