Help me on this. Why would a boy's bathroom at an elementary school in Minnesota be required to have free tampons? Or any school? Please, someone, share the logic.

@Heartlander For trans boys, next question.

@Heartlander Yes, some kids have gender dysphoria younger than that. They're not allowed to get sex reassignment surgery, of course, but they are allowed to socially transition.

@BohemianBabe I've never had a problem or issue with that, but considering how most restrooms have private stalls the better public interest would be served by affording the opportunity for privacy to all students. Will they also be forced to install urinals in the girls restrooms?
@Heartlander For the girls who are told by teachers they're "really boys", some girls start the monthly visit as young as 9 and 10, my youngest niece was one, which is why they're in elementary schools.

So this is really much ado about nothing? Good to know. Now we can go back to discussing actual issues, without the cowardly deflections.

@BohemianBabe No. It's about also respecting the privacy of girls who may be uncomfortable with boys in their restrooms/bathrooms and boys who are uncomfortable to see girls in their restrooms/bathrooms.
This is yet another example of government forced inclusions that shoves everyone else aside and does little to make the US a more inclusive nation. Just the opposite so often.

@Heartlander No, those girls who now are told they're boys are being told to use the boy's restrooms at school, hence the tampon and pad vending boxes in boys' restrooms.

@BohemianBabe but they don't menstruate.
BohemianBabe · M
@samueltyler2 Some trans boys and trans men do.

@BohemianBabe that does beg the question though. What I saw was they are not required in the boys rooms.
It also begs the issue that the law was passed by the legislature, and yes signed by the governor.

@samueltyler2 Yes, most boys rooms don't have them because trans people are less than 2% of the population. It's not seen as worth it. Walz decided it was worth it, which is fine, it's not much of an issue either way.
The only reason the Right is bringing this up and pretending it's a big deal is because they have nothing to attack him on.

@BohemianBabe that and his military experience. According to what I read, Vance was in an air conditioned tent, fighting with a typewriter!
BohemianBabe · M
@samueltyler2 They're also saying Walz allowed rioters to burn down an entire city. Which is kinda funny, because there's a leaked call of Trump talking to Walz, complimenting him on how he handled the riots.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@BohemianBabe I heard the call, 45 told him he was doing a great job.
